Dangers with Possums

The excrement they produce is also a catalyst for salmonella. There is also the possibility of finding a dead opossum on your property or in your attic. This can be brutal in terms of odor. You can’t mask it and it will get worse and may attract other nuisance animals if not removed. They are nocturnal so it is sometimes hard to see them or catch them roaming around your house or yard and if you do they can play dead as a defense mechanism. Do not fall for it and get too close.
